Lavender Field by Allan Morgan
Artworx Gallery are proud to showcase a brand new original painting by highly collected artist Allan Morgan. Allan Morgan is well known for his landscape paintings that depict a stunning array of colour, contrast and personification of the weather and landscape. His work can be perceived as the glimmer of hope through a chaotic storm, or an imposing fury overpowering over our tiny worlds. Morgan shows dominance between the sky and the ground with his use of composition, which stirs a mixture of emotion.
Born in 1952, he graduated from Coventry Lanchester Art College with BA Honours in Fine Art. His professional career has since focused mainly on realistic landscape painting, although he has also enjoyed considerable success as an illustrator. He has recently extended his style to encompass a more ‘colourist’ approach in much of his work. The basis of his inspiration remains largely the same however, namely the love of light, colour and atmosphere in landscape. His work has been influenced mainly by the Pre-Raphaelites and Impressionists such as Monet and Degas. Allan’s very distinctive style and the detail in his paintings is fast gaining him recognition and his work is now becoming much sought after throughout Europe.
