Leicester born artist, Tim Cotterill designs stunning and elegant limited edition bronze sculptures from his California based studio. He will be flying over to the UK for 6 artist appearances across the country, and to kick off the tour he is starting at Artworx Gallery, Cannock. Tim’s work is collected worldwide with a huge following and critical acclaim. His unique sculptures offer a wide range of colours, sizes and charismatic poses there is always a frog to create a smile.

Following his engineering education, Tim, who is also known as  ‘The Frogman’, has always been intrigued with metalworking and has devoted himself solely to the creation of his unique bronze sculptures. Tim’s second passion for metalworking extends to his love of motorbikes, cars and trike’s was recently asked to appear on Jay Leno’s Garage to talk about some of the vehicles he has designed and created himself in his spare time.

Tim Cotterill talks about his work, “Frogs are fun creatures! I have tried to capture their individual spirit, their fun, and their joy. Life is fun! I hope my art brings more happiness and joy into your life.”
Tim begins the creative process with a detailed sketch on paper and prototype of the frog. Following a lengthy process called the lost wax casting technique where molten bronze is used to create the sculpture. The final stages where the colour patina is added is all done by hand, bringing each piece of work to life.

To highlight the special occasion Tim has released two new Bronze Frog sculptures only available from his UK Show dates. Artworx Gallery can proudly present ‘Ruby & Saturn’.
